COVID-19 Food Mission for Rising Hope

The devastating toll the COVID-19 pandemic is having on the most vulnerable members of our human family cannot be overstated.  Food insecurity is a critical problem for many.

In response, Trinity is committed to supporting our community through Rising Hope, the UMC Mission church in the Mt Vernon area.

In partnership with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Trinity has received over 15,000 pounds of non-perishable food items. Because Rising Hope doesn't have the storage space to receive all that food at once, we will serve as an overflow storage site and make weekly deliveries to Rising Hope to meet their continued needs. Click here to sign up to help with deliveries.

If you would like to continue to support Rising Hope, we encourage you to make a financial donation here and select "Give to Rising Hope" as the recipient.

We look forward to restarting our weekly collections in the Spring. Stay tuned!

Current donation total:  41,676 pounds and $2,085.00

Rising Hope Short Film

Here is a short film that Rising Hope has been working on about the impact COVID-19 has had on it's community and the disproportionate effect it has had on low income and communities of color.
